Carlisle
This job was carried out for a client with whom we have worked for many years, completing many projects on several different holiday home parks throughout the North West. We replaced this fence to smarten the entrance to the park and also made it safer for the children using the play area.
Warton
This garden had not been touched for several years, mainly due to it being separate from the house. Our first job was to excavate a series of tiers (terrace's) to make it a more usable area, as the existing area was on a slope.
After pouring all the foundations, walls were built which incorporated the steps to the different levels. Paths were laid using Indian flags to create access to the different areas. Some concrete flags were used as a shed base. Finally sandstone was used as an edging to the newly laid turf which completed this transformation.
Quernmore
The clients at this property felt their garden needed a general tidy and more usable space. We did this by excavating the top of the garden, giving a large level area which was then turfed creating a spacious lawn. A new path was laid using Indian flags from the gate, past the front door and onto the feature stone circle. The stone circle was constructed using reclaimed stone flags, which were cut to shape and then edged with sandstone setts. This area serves as an excellent setting for outdoor dining as well as giving access to the new lawn. We also tided around the rear of the property by laying clean gravel.
Lancaster
This client found that their recently built house didn't have a large enough area for entertaining. The existing large rockery stones were re-positioned further from the rear of the house to create more space. The clients also felt that the garden was featureless so a raised circular, stone pond was created along with digitally laid Indian flags, which were surrounded with decorative chippings. We also created an oval lawn area and two seating areas. Our final job was to construct a set of steps to the side of the house for easier access for the homeowners, as the rear garden is level with the second storey of the house and this has always made accessing this area difficult.
Heysham
This client had recently had a conservatory built and he felt that his garden also needed improving. Having 2 dogs the existing lawn was extremely patchy and sloped from the house to the rear fence and shed. After building a small retaining wall, reused planters and steps to the conservatory were constructed. We also laid 2 level flagged areas for seating and installed an electric cable into the garage for a water feature, which the client had previously bought. We also heightened the wall next to the gateway to make the garden more secure for the dogs. A relatively simple job which made a low maintenance and canine proof garden!
Kendal
The owners of this property recently had a large extension built and had been left with a building site for a garden. Due to the house being built on a hillside, the rear garden was holding a lot of water so a drainage system had to be installed. Once this was done we designed an unusual shaped decking area to give the client an outdoor entertainment space from their new kitchen. We replaced the end fence and improved the back fence with new boarding. Two raised planters were built using logs and a block-paved path was laid creating access from the front door to the deck. Turf was then laid over the remaining area giving the clients children a safe play area and completing this garden transformation.
Bolton-le-Sands
This client’s garden had to be completed within a specified time slot due to the husband wishing to surprise his wife and have their garden made over while she was away for a few days. This project basically consisted of a general tidy up, some of the lawn areas were levelled and returfed, path edgings were added, some steps were reflagged (not shown) and tarmac was laid on top of the existing paths. Small changes that made a large transformation to this garden.

Endmoor
The client recently purchased the property and decided to make drastic changes to the rear garden. The original garden was large, quite steeply sloped with an unusable area. We constructed a raised patio area using York stone flags which was supported by a stone-faced wall. We also constructed a large deck with handrail, both of which gave them large level seating and entertaining area. A series of stepped paths using sleepers, gravel and rock edgings were structured to create access to the bottom of the garden and large planting areas. Two small rockery areas were also designed. All of these changes resulted in a more usable and attractive garden for the client.
All work of this nature enhances your home and outdoor living and also creates a welcoming ambience to the property as well as adding value.
